FounderEver since I was a kid I've had a real passion for the care and well being of animals! I was always bringing something home from baby birds and squirrels, to stray cats and dogs. My family called me little Ellie May. I went to the art Institute of charlotte for interior design, and shortly afer I had a job at a local grooming parlour called A Dogs Best Friend. I apprenticed under Jennifer Worth and eventually changed my career field to grooming. After some time I wanted to learn more about animals and went to Penn Foster for a veterinary technology degree. I worked as a Vet Tech (veterinary nurse) for a good 3 years and learned 6 different body systems, cytology, diet and nutrition, behavioral health, dental cleaning, reading radiography from x-rays, and even pulling blood and placing catheters and monitoring surgery! It was a great field but I was always drawn back to grooming and making my furry friends feel good and look good!
In March of 2020, I decided to open my own mobile grooming business and it was the best decision I've ever made! I'm so proud of my staff, and so grateful for our clients. We can't wait to service new clients and keep providing excellent care to our existing ones.

I have been working with dogs since 2016 from managing at a dog daycare, petsitting and helping Gaby with the dog's she groomed from home. I struggled on deciding what career path I wanted to follow but ultimately my best work days were those I got to spend playing with and caring for dogs. I decided to start learning to groom and have had the chance to work with Gaby and Lizzy as I grow in this field. I'm looking forward to becoming one of your dog's new best friends!

I picked up my first pair of clippers when I was just 16 years old. I practiced grooming on the many dogs that came into my stepmom's rescue with some guidance. After moving to the Carolinas I had the chance to learn from a few more groomers and decided to turn my hobby into a career. I love the artistic aspect of grooming dogs and there's no better way to spend my day than with all the furry friends, it truly doesn't even feel like work! When I'm not at work I enjoy spending time with my two dogs, two cats, ball python, and Brandon! I look forward to meeting you and your pups!!

At 12 years old I started volunteering at my local SPCA and pet sitting for my neighbors. I decided then that I would work with animals, but it took me a while to fall into grooming. As an adult, I worked at and managed daycares and then had my own pet sitting business. In 2020 when Covid hit, my pet sitting business suffered which led me to grooming! I was originally offered a bathing job to help an in home groomer, and naturally fell in love with it. I started searching for more opportunities to learn and groom and that’s when I found Liz and Totally Groomy! I learned from a small handful of mentors including Liz for several months before moving to Colorado where I was able to work under many extremely talented teachers. I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to attend many private seminars with competition groomers and have fallen in love with continued education. I am currently CPR/First aid certified, Senior Dog Certified, and Difficult Dog Handling Certified. I love to do rescue work on the side and have 3 rescue pups of my own! I am also a cat and reptile lover! I look forward to building a relationship with you and your pup to provide the best care I possibly can.
